Our Pinclusion philosophy
Pinclusion is the creation of an inclusive culture where employees flourish through representation and belonging, where Pinterest users thrive with inspiration and where Pinterest grows through innovation.
Building an inclusive product
We know that inspiration starts with inclusion. Creating belonging isn't exclusive to our workplace and culture, it's something we aim to do in all spaces, especially in our product. Whether it's hair pattern search, skin tone ranges, or our recently released body type ranges, we want our users to find themselves represented on Pinterest.
Pinclusion Groups @ Pinterest
Pinclusion Groups (PGs) are a critical component of Pinterest’s Inclusion & Diversity strategy, right at the heart of the Pinterest employee experience. PGs are company-sponsored, employee-led groups that act as an extension of the Inclusion and Diversity Team, representing populations that have been systematically marginalized to ensure their authentic inclusion in the co-creation of our company culture and business outcomes.
Asians@
Asians@ is our Pinclusion Group for Asian employees and allies. It’s a mosaic of communities that support and celebrate diverse Asian and Pacific Islander heritage, focused on creating belonging and hosting impactful programming to commemorate important moments for their members and Pinners.
Blackboard
Blackboard is our Pinclusion Group for Black employees and allies. Each year, Blackboard hosts Bloom, a professional development conference for Black employees to learn and inspire each other, as well as platform and company programming to celebrate Black culture.
Latin@
Latin@ is our Pinclusion Group for Latiné employees and allies. With a focus on career growth, Latin@ has opened up access to leaders through casual “cafecito” conversations, goal-setting workshops, and support during performance reviews.
PinAble
PinAble is our Pinclusion Group that advocates for and supports people with disabilities and neurodivergent folks by driving improvements around the accessibility of Pinterest's workplace, culture, and product.
PIndigenous
PIndigenous is our Pinclusion Group for Indigenous employees and allies. In addition to volunteering within communities and advancing Indigenous talent, PIndigenous sponsors events and wellness sessions, hosts prominent speakers and works to increase Indigenous representation on Pinterest.
Pride@
Pride@ is our Pinclusion Group for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies who creates safe spaces for their members, celebrates identities and cultures, leads our heritage moments including Pride Month, and educates allies on issues within the community globally.
Vets@
Vets@ is our Pinclusion Group for our Veterans employees and allies. To support and honor veterans, Vets@ hosts volunteer and fundraiser events for organizations in their local communities. Vets@ welcomes all Pinterest employees to join.
Women@
Women@ is our Pinclusion Group for empowering women and allies. Women@ has organized support circles, networking opportunities with company leaders and personal and professional development curricula for hundreds of women around the world.
