Meet Rahab Hammad, Director of Benefits and Women@ Executive Sponsor. In this Life at Pinterest Blog article, Rahab will highlight her role supporting Women@, the importance of mentorship, what the theme “Unbreakable” means to the Women@ community and how we’re recognizing Women’s History Month at Pinterest.
Becoming a Women@ Executive Sponsor
Becoming an executive sponsor of the Women@ Pinclusion Group is an incredible honor and one that feels deeply aligned with my passion for championing women’s health and overall employee wellbeing. In my role as Director of Benefits, I have seen firsthand how much women invest in healthcare and how often their unique needs remain under-supported. This sponsorship gives me the opportunity to shine a light on the importance of women’s health globally, including the work we are doing with benefits like Maven to support fertility, menopause, and holistic care.

It is also meaningful to me on a personal level. Throughout my career, I have been shaped by the experiences and voices of other women, and I want to be someone who creates visibility, listens closely, and advocates for support across every stage of the employee journey. Being an executive sponsor allows me to elevate those voices, build awareness, and help create a community where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
Advancing my career while uplifting other women
Throughout my career, advancing has gone hand in hand with uplifting other women. I was fortunate to have strong women around me, both inside and outside the workplace who I learned from. Yet, like many women, I still had moments where I felt unheard or received feedback that can often come to women about how they should speak or present themselves. Navigating these dynamics made me even more committed to ensuring that others feel empowered to speak up, be heard, and lead authentically. Mentorship is now central to my journey. I want to help other women navigate these moments with confidence, ensuring they know their voice matters, their contributions are valued, and they can advance with the support they deserve.
Unbreakable: Women’s History Month 2026
This Women’s History Month, we’re embracing the theme “Unbreakable” as the heart of our Women& Conference, which is a tentpole celebration of intersectionality and resilience. From local office gatherings featuring cuisines from female chefs to creative connection workshops like matcha and crochet, we’re offering ways for women to connect and grow. The month includes mentorship and local lead programs, remote activations, professional development opportunities, and wellness chapters, all designed to honor the strength and unique stories of women across Pinterest.
Closing Thoughts
As we uplift each other, my advice is to actively listen and amplify each other’s voices. Seek out mentorship, not just from formal programs but by connecting with peers, leaders, and even those in other fields. Be intentional about learning from one another, and don’t hesitate to ask for guidance or offer it.

What I hope to accomplish in my work with Women@ is to be a supportive leader who drives real action. I want to elevate women by increasing visibility and transparency, particularly in how we invest in our health and wellness. Coming from the benefits space, I hope to bring awareness to how we can leverage these resources within our company.
To honor other women this month, I’ll be present at events here in New York and across our global programs. Beyond that, I plan to spotlight women’s achievements throughout the year—whether it’s through sharing their stories in company forums, highlighting successes in team meetings, or advocating for new opportunities.
Finally, I encourage everyone to learn more about Pinterest’s benefits. Explore our new Benefits page and consider applying to opportunities on our teams.
