This June, we’re celebrating Pride Month at Pinterest aligned to the theme, “The Future of Inclusion.” The Future of Inclusion is a celebration of possibility: a future where LGBTQIA+ people are not just welcomed, but empowered, represented, and able to thrive. This Pride, we honor the progress that brought us here while imagining what comes next — a world built with greater opportunity, visibility, belonging, and joy for everyone.

Pride has always been about courage, visibility, and collective action. In 2026, this theme recognizes that inclusion is not a finished achievement — it is an ongoing act of design, care, and accountability. This theme also asks us to dream bigger. What becomes possible when inclusion is embedded into how we lead, collaborate, create, and connect? What does it look like when people feel safe enough to be themselves, and valued enough to shape what comes next? The answer is a future that is more innovative, more compassionate, and more human.

Take a moment to meet a few of our Pride@ global leads and learn what this year’s theme means to each of them.

Alan Reis, Creative Marketing Specialist, Dublin

To me, The Future of Inclusion means creating spaces where people don’t just feel accepted, but genuinely seen, valued, and empowered to bring their full selves to the table. As someone who believes diverse perspectives make us stronger, I see inclusion as something we actively build every day through empathy, curiosity, and courage. The future feels brightest when everyone has the opportunity to belong, grow, and help shape what comes next.

I truly believe that plurality of cultures drives better outcomes and real innovation. The Future of Inclusion is about making sure people feel they belong and are safe, both in digital spaces and beyond. The LGBTQIA+ community has a long history of resilience, often finding care and support away from home. Everyone deserves a place where they feel supported, and our commitment is to make Pinterest that place, where everyone feels seen, safe, and at home to create a life they love.

The possibility of true, long lasting and meaningful connections, that’s what the future of inclusion means to me. This resonates at Pinterest everyday both internally through employee groups like Pride@, Blackboard and many others. But it also is represented externally through our commitment to positivity as a platform with things like phone free schools. With places like Pinterest, the future of inclusion is possible for the next generation. Like with my little family of three; my Husband Ryan and my daughter Madison. They are my safe place and where I find the true meaning of connection and security.

Seiji Koyama, Sr. Content Growth Manager, Tokyo

The Future of Inclusion, to me, means allowing ourselves to be optimistic - being open to perspectives different from our own and seeing those differences as a source of learning and possibility. Growing up in Tokyo, later studying in the U.S. and working in London has helped me appreciate how much we gain when we value different cultures, experiences, and perspectives. Especially during Pride, I’m reminded that when we can be the best version of ourselves and come together as one team, at work and beyond, we can create something more meaningful. I already see that happening at Pinterest. I truly believe it’s possible.

Happy Pride from our Pride@ Pinclusion Group at Pinterest!
