Felicia Wu started at Pinterest in September 2024 as a Performance Solutions Lead in Singapore. We caught up with Felicia to uncover what attracted her to a role at the company and learn more about her life at Pinterest.

Hi Felicia! Thanks for joining us. We’re excited to chat with you! Can you start by sharing what led you to the Pinterest team?

I joined Pinterest a little over six months ago after coming across the job posting on LinkedIn. The job description for the Performance Solutions role immediately stood out, and it felt like a perfect fit at just the right time in my career. I applied because I was eager to advise and develop strategies across different verticals and take on something new in my next role.

While researching the company, I visited the "Our Life" page on the Careers site. PinFlex really stood out to me—it's an excellent work model that gives employees the flexibility to work where they feel most inspired. I was also impressed by the mental health and wellness benefits. For example, I now use the For You Fund to support my gym membership. There are so many ways to use it, from getting a massage to enrolling in professional development courses.

Share a brief description of your role at Pinterest and what excites you about the work that you do.

Performance Solutions encompasses both strategy and implementation for clients, and my primary focus is on the strategy side. In my role, I provide tailored solutions for clients’ campaigns. What excites me most is gaining insight into the back end of how an ad auction works. While I’ve always partnered with clients to run campaigns, I now have the opportunity to understand the system in depth and leverage that knowledge to develop strategies that truly align with clients’ objectives.

Every performance marketer dreams of building something meaningful. I have the opportunity to work closely with a product manager to create innovative and engaging solutions. Drawing on my experience, I can advise and collaborate on identifying which projects have the highest potential to unlock revenue.

How is Pinterest different from other places you’ve worked before?

It’s all about the people and the culture. At Pinterest, we rely on each other’s expertise - everyone is collaborative, patient and respectful.

Here in Singapore, many team members are new, which gives us an exciting opportunity to build things from the ground up. We get to take existing processes and iterate, curating approaches that work best for our country. The flexibility and autonomy at Pinterest really stand out to me.

My colleagues are welcoming and helpful, and even though we are located in different offices across the globe, every individual takes effort to come together to share learnings and applications implemented in their market.

What Pinterest board is currently inspiring you?

From bathrooms to color schemes, I have a board with all the details for home interior design as I recently renovated my house. I’m always on the lookout for tattoo ideas and nail designs, and I love discovering new fashion inspiration on Pinterest.
