Every year during our Season of Giving campaign, we’re reminded: generosity is core to who we are at Pinterest. Giving back is more than a tradition—it’s a powerful thread that connects employees across continents, backgrounds and passions.
In 2025, our impact reached new heights. Throughout the year, employees gave to a diverse range of causes, supporting communities worldwide. Together, with employee donations and Pinterest’s donation matching, we raised over $1.6 million for nonprofits making a difference around the globe.
Browsing through the thousands of donations, a few common threads became clear. Our people showed up in support of:
- Animal Welfare (always a favorite among our team!)
- Education
- Food, Agriculture, and Nutrition
- Human Services
These focus areas speak to what matters most to our global community: supporting human potential, nourishing communities and caring for all.
Giving Tuesday
On Giving Tuesday, thanks to Pinterest’s 3:1 match and special one-day boost, we raised more than $600,000 in just one day, a record-breaking milestone made possible by each and every donor and champion.
Giving back is deeply personal. Here’s what a few employees shared about the causes that fuel them:
“Through our actions and voices, we hold the power to make a difference. Giving is a chance to empower communities, help them rebuild in times of crisis and foster hope through education. It shows us that we all can be a part of something bigger than ourselves.” — Sabrina Chelouah, Sr. Performance Solutions Partner, Paris
“I'm motivated by the fundamental belief that we are all interconnected, and supporting organizations that support global development and the alleviation of poverty is a concrete way to help build thriving, resilient communities globally. Seeing the direct and positive impact of these investments in education and health makes giving a deeply resonant and easy choice. — Taimoor Chatoor, Sr. Data Scientist, New York
“I gave to a local animal sanctuary that provides a second chance to abused and neglected farm animals. This cause resonates deeply with my own commitment to animal welfare and I’m honored to support their vital and compassionate work.” — Peter Allen, Sr. Director, Sales Strategy & Operations, Remote US
Global Volunteering

The giving spirit wasn’t just online donations, it flourished in our offices and local communities, too:
- Paris: Employees came together to decorate shoe boxes for the holidays and fill them for people most in need, including warm accessory items, hygiene products, leisure/gift items and a kindness card.
- San Francisco: Blackboard, our Pinclusion Group focused on Black employees and allies, hosted a volunteer event to help prepare, package, deliver meals and distribute groceries to local community members in need.
- São Paulo: Colleagues sponsored 19 children from two local charities, gifting holiday gift bags filled with clothes, toys, shoes, candy and hygiene kits, to help bring brightness and kindness to their holidays.
- Tokyo: Our office partnered with a local nonprofit organization to host a “Create Pin-tastic Christmas Card” event. Over 20 Tokyo employees crafted handmade cards for children spending their holidays in hospitals.
“Decorating with sparkling stickers made us feel like kids again, and it was such a joyful experience! We hope our cards will bring the kids a little extra cheer to their holidays.”
— Mio Sai, Content Growth Specialist & Akari Inoue, Revenue Operations Specialist, Tokyo

Our employees continue to show what’s possible when generosity goes global. Thank you to everyone who gave back to their communities – whether through donations or volunteering. We’re proud of the team’s efforts to create change not just during Giving Season, but all year long.
