Youth Mental Health Corps

Safeguarding the mental health of young people requires everyone to come together. Pinterest, the Schultz Family Foundation and AmeriCorps announced the Youth Mental Health Corps – a collaborative initiative to recruit and train young adults to serve as mental health navigators in schools and communities leading to career paths in mental health. Inspired Internet Pledge Summit

As part of our 2024 company commitment to the Inspired Internet Pledge, Pinterest and our Impact Partner, Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, co-hosted an Inspired Internet Pledge summit in Washington, DC, on "Ensuring Healthy Outcomes" for kids in a digitally saturated world. The summit gathered signatories and supporters of the Inspired Internet Pledge for a day-long conversation that took the creative form of a product design sprint - facilitated by a Pinterest employee.
Pinterest Impact Lab & Community Coaching Day

Pinterest Impact Lab gives organizations who are building innovative mental health solutions the resources to scale their impact and ensure long-term success. Pinterest Impact Lab offers tactical resources like speaker events, workshops and one-on-one coaching while also building community for our network of Impact Partners.
During this year’s Community Coaching Day, Jaime Pham, Sr. Creative Strategist, led meditation for the Impact Partners and a visioning exercise using Pinterest. Seven employees served as feedback coaches and attended the showcase. We were thrilled to be joined by senior leaders like Wanji Walcott, Chief Legal & Business Affairs Officer, who gave the closing remarks.
Hidden Healing Fund

Pinterest announced the Hidden Healing Fund, a collective fund leveraging the power of leading brands to support healing practices rooted in community, culture and connection for young people around the world. SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios (MTV) joins as the founding media partner, underscoring a shared commitment to driving youth mental health action. Malik Ducard, Pinterest Chief Content Officer, says: "Together, we are leveraging our collective influence to uplift culturally-led mental health resources that support young people by honoring their unique identities and communities."
Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK

In the United Kingdom, Pinterest served as the lead partner for Mental Health Awareness Week, coordinated by our Impact Partner, Mental Health Foundation. This year’s theme was “Movement: Moving more for our mental health.” Mental Health Foundation’s Pinterest board features more tips and ideas for Mental Health Awareness Week related to this year’s theme. Pinterest employees in London attended a special reception for Mental Health Awareness Week at the UK Parliament.
Boys and Girls Clubs of America Board of Governor’s Award

Pinterest was awarded the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Board of Governor’s Award for New Partner of the Year! This award celebrates Pinterest’s dedication to championing the wellbeing and success of young people across the country. Chrystal Moore, Head of Talent Discovery and Attraction, accepted this award at the Atlanta award ceremony on behalf of Pinterest.
Future Mental Health Collective Retreat

Pinterest participated in the first ever Future Mental Health Collective retreat in Kilkenny, Ireland, convened by Kokoro. Joined by 60 Collective members, experts, practitioners, people with lived experience, youth and indigenous representatives, we brainstormed big questions and explored collaborative action for mental health.
Shorty Award Audience Honor: Pinterest Shopping Spotlight with Lady Gaga for Born This Way Foundation and Cotton On

The Shorty Awards recognized Pinterest’s first Shopping Spotlight with a social impact component, featuring Born This Way Foundation's co-founder, Lady Gaga, for the nonprofit's Kinder, Braver Together campaign with Cotton On and Cotton On Foundation, receiving Audience Honor in the category of “Other Platform Partnership.” This was a cross-functional collaboration between the Corporate Affairs & Social Impact team and our Global Content Organization. This project supported youth mental health in recognition of World Mental Health Day. Colleagues from our Content team represented Pinterest for this honor at the Shorty Awards ceremony in New York City.
