Pinterest is uniquely positioned across the full consumer journey, from inspiration and discovery through consideration, planning, and action. Creators bring ideas to life, Pinners signal emerging interests and intent, and advertisers help people act on what inspires them. This role will help build the data foundation on which Pinterest measures its flywheel, helping advertisers understand how their ads, creator activations and organic activity contribute to performance and business outcomes. The output of this work will be highly impactful, influencing advertiser investment, ad opportunities, and Pinterest’s differentiation in the ads measurement ecosystem. This is a foundational mission critical role that will directly influence the future success of Pinterest’s Ad Strategy.
The ideal candidate is a Senior PM leader with proven ability to drive data and signal quality for an ads measurement and performance stack. They have expertise and deep understanding of data and signal quality challenges and how to build partner integrations, matching algorithms, data science models and tech solutions ensuring high quality signal and low loss across CAPI, Tag, Pixel, MMPs, DCR and other data sources. They have worked cross-functionally with engineering, data science, research, PMM, sales, and other partners and can translate complex measurement methods into credible, useful, and scalable products.
What you’ll do:
- Own build and execution of Pinterest’s Data and Signal intelligence strategy to drive its Ads Measurement and Performance success.
- Own creation and execution of canonical matchable signals and optimal signal capture features: matching, dedupe, event normalization, advanced events, differential privacy, PETS.
- Define the roadmap and execution steps for quality improvements for ingested signals.
- Partner with other data leads on onboarding initiatives, ensuring integrations are scalable, usable, and adopted per requirements.
- Monitor activation health—including coverage, latency, failures, adoption, and downstream availability—and coordinate resolution of execution blockers.
- Run operating cadences, communicating progress, managing dependencies, and demonstrating the impact of activation improvements on advertiser and ads-performance outcomes.
- Partner with engineering, DS, PMM and Ads product leaders to ensure high quality signals are accurately ingested and leveraged in the Pinterest Ad Stack.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 6 years of experience working as a Product Manager or in a related role, including 2–4+ years of substantial ads data/signals or marketing measurement experience.
- Deep understanding of the data and signals ecosystem and how to ensure and improve data signal quality in an ad stack to drive measurement and performance. Areas of experience include signal loss mitigation, privacy-safe measurement, MMPs, CAPI, Tag, Pixel, differential privacy and clean rooms.
- Experience partnering with engineering, data science, analytics, research, or PMM cross-functional teams.
- Evidence of the ability to define new products and strategies and to execute from ideation and multi-quarter roadmaps through go-to-market and adoption.
- Ability to empathize with, anticipate the needs of, and effectively collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Understanding of business metrics and tradeoffs in the context of online platforms.
- Preferred but not required: Experience with social, video, commerce, or organic-and-paid measurement.
- Preferred but not required: Experience building advertiser-facing measurement products or working with advertisers and agencies.
- Preferred but not required: Understanding of attribution and incrementality.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following office: New York
