In the next edition of Inside Programmatic, we’re introducing Pinterest’s global Programmatic Technical Operations team, a new team that’s helping shape what’s next for programmatic at Pinterest. First, you’ll hear from Megan Ericson, Director of Programmatic Tech Ops, who shares what the team is building and her advice to job seekers. From there, you’ll meet each team member and learn what inspired them to join Pinterest.
Megan Ericson, Director, Programmatic Tech Ops

Why Pinterest? I was initially drawn to Pinterest because it's one of the few truly positive corners of the internet. It’s a platform built on inspiration and creativity, and that mission deeply resonated with me. Since joining, the most energizing part has been the 'Win or Learn' culture. It’s refreshing to be in an environment where taking smart risks is encouraged, and where both successes and failures are seen as valuable learning opportunities.
Our team: The Programmatic Technical Operations focus is three fold: scaling infrastructure, activating new programmatic solutions with our advertising partners, and giving product feedback. We encourage team members to identify problems they're passionate about solving and take the lead on those initiatives. This autonomy has fostered a strong sense of ownership and allowed individuals to carve out their areas of expertise organically.
Advice to job seekers: My advice to candidates is to come with a perspective. We have exciting problems to solve, and we want to have opinionated folks with diverse perspectives join our team. Together, we’ll partner to create scalable solutions that drive impact for our partners and Pinterest.
Currently inspired by: We just moved our seven-year-old into a new room, and Pinterest has been my go-to for making it feel like his own little world. I've been exploring graffiti wallpaper, hockey-themed decor, and creative ways to display his various collections. It's amazing how one search leads to a whole board of ideas you never knew you needed!
Owen Dill, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, New York

Hi, I’m Owen Dill, and I joined Pinterest in November 2025. With a background in programmatic trading and close partnerships with agency and advertiser teams, I was drawn to Pinterest for the chance to help build something meaningful from the ground up and make a real impact. Devon Novick, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, New York

Hi, I’m Devon Novick, and I joined Pinterest in January 2026. I have spent the past few years working in advertising operations and the programmatic space on the publisher side, honing in on my technical troubleshooting skills. I was drawn to Pinterest because it blends creativity, innovation, and real business impact. I was excited by the opportunity to help build something out while understanding the “why” behind what we do. Right now, I’m saving hair/nail beauty inspiration and travel outfits/destinations!
Laura Morais, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, São Paulo

Hi, I'm Laura Morais, and I joined Pinterest in January 2026. I have a solid background in digital marketing, with experience across ad techs, publishers, and advertisers, where I realized that my greatest potential manifests in the development and expansion of new operations. That's why being part of a new area at Pinterest excited me so much, combined with the fact that I've been a heavy user of the platform for over eight years. On my Pinterest boards, I love collecting ideas that range from interior design, fashion trends, and makeup, to sports cars and motivational quotes for female entrepreneurs.
Kevin Quach, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, Sydney

Hi, I’m Kevin, and I joined Pinterest in March 2026, based out of Sydney, Australia. The reason for joining Pinterest was to move back into a more technical role at an amazing company, be part of an exciting era in building a programmatic offering from scratch and to leverage my experience in ad tech and an agency trading desk. My Pinterest board has a lot of home DIY, landscaping and mullet hairstyle ideas but will now change into baby room ideas and new dad lifestyle content!
Cailin Cousineau, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, Chicago

Hi I’m Cailin, and I joined Pinterest in April 2026. I’ve spent the past few years working in programmatic, previously on the DSP side, and have really enjoyed the evolving landscape and the teams I’ve gotten to work with along the way. Joining Pinterest felt especially exciting being able to help grow programmatic on a platform that inspires so much creativity. My favorite Pinterest boards are filled with DIY and craft inspiration, home decor, gift ideas, and I’ve been loving the widget feature for a little daily quote right on my phone screen.
Derek Vasquez Minier, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, New York

Ashley Cole, Sr. Programmatic Tech Ops Specialist, New York

Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am one of the newest members of the team who joined at the end of June. I joined Pinterest because I wanted to be a part of one of the most positive and inspiring corners of the internet. I felt it was the perfect next step where I could draw upon my eight years of work in the programmatic space to help shape and build this offering from the ground up. I love to decorate, especially in color, so I have been saving a lot of decor and room designs to make my apartment burst with joy.
