Pinterest is hiring in Paris. Aurélie Cambillau, Lead Client Partner, joined the Life at Pinterest team to share more about her Pinterest journey, what the team in Paris is like and advice to those interested in joining us. Read the full story and then discover our open roles.

Hi Aurélie, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with a brief introduction.

I’m Aurélie Cambillau, and I’m a Lead Client Partner at Pinterest. I’ve been here for almost six years, and I’m based in Paris. In my role, I’m responsible for onboarding clients and showing Pinterest’s value as a key platform in their communication. I help them understand why Pinterest should be a part of their strategy, find ways to inspire our unique intent audience with their products and services and help them take action on that inspiration. What I love most about my role is driving impact for Pinterest and changing the way advertisers can connect with their audiences.

What are the top three reasons why you love working at Pinterest?

  1. Being a part of the inspiration and positivity journey. We really have changed the ecosystem, and I admire our stance on positivity and safety on our platform, especially for young people. As a mom of two, it’s something that’s really important to me. I think prioritizing positivity is a way to show my kids (and other young people) how it can drive self-confidence and change the way we communicate with each other. It’s something I love about Pinterest – it’s different here.
  2. The people. When I joined Pinterest, it felt like I was dreaming. Part of the reason I love working here is because of the people; they’re really nice and care about each other on a personal level. My colleagues are also smart and want to think as a team. Yes, we all have our own objectives, but it’s how we achieve them together. We always say, “One team, one dream.” We don’t make an impact all by ourselves, we make it collectively through partnerships with each other and across the business.
  3. Our value: Win or Learn. This is the first time I’ve really seen “Win or Learn” in action.  We don’t always succeed, but we gather to sync on what we learned and how we make a difference next time. I have a great relationship with my manager, and I feel like I have the space and time to learn and grow.

Can you describe the team in Paris?

When I joined, I was the twelfth employee in Paris, and the team has grown since then. I would describe the team as positive, caring and fun. It makes me love coming to work every day. We’re located in the center of Paris, and it’s a really nice space.

Are there any valuable pieces of advice or insight you’d share with someone applying for a career opportunity on your team?

At Pinterest, our employees have an entrepreneurial mindset. If you want to build something, we can make it happen. Come ready with your ideas, share them and bring them to life.  If you want to make an impact, Pinterest is a great place to work.

We also have amazing benefits, including PinFlex, Work-From-Anywhere, parental leave and gradual return to work. It’s something that helps you feel good about Pinterest as an employer every day.

What’s the name of the Pinterest board that’s currently inspiring you?
