About Pinterest:

As the Strategic Creator Partnership Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing relationships with content partners to support the growth of Pinterest in Japan. You'll be the primary contact for partners, publishers or creators and drive initiatives that meet partners’ business goals as well as Pinterest’s growth goals.

What you’ll do

  • Manage a portfolio of influencers, agencies and publishers in Japan in the areas of Fashion, Beauty, Home, Food & Drink, Entertainment, and more. 
  • Work with partners to publish content onto Pinterest, and support their distribution & engagement goals.
  • Ideate & execute creative “win-win” distribution deals that drive value to partners, and also to Pinterest by leveraging various tools (e.g. editorial channels, Pinterest API, co-marketing opportunities, new feature launches, etc.)   
  • Proactively acquire new content partners, and identify opportunities for scaled content acquisition by working with agencies, building programs, or working with content aggregators/platforms.   
  • Represent Japanese partners and provide constructive, actionable feedback to product teams in HQ.
  • Lead the roll-out of new product features in India and strategize how to create buzz and amplify product usage.  
  • Work collaboratively with XFN teams including product, marketing, PR & community.   

 

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years experience in partner management/business development at consumer tech companies, publishers, platforms, or media/entertainment.   
  • Has a business network in Japan, and understands Japanese culture, trends & insights.  
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Comfortable working in a lean team with an entrepreneurial mindset. 
  • Is versatile and able to wear multiple hats in a rapidly changing business environment.  
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical skills and business sense.
  • Experience working with influencer agencies and knowing the influencer/creator landscape in Japan is a plus.  
  • Knowledge of tech tools (RSS, Product Feeds, Content API platforms) is a plus.   
  • Due to COVID-19 and related visa/travel restrictions in place, candidates must currently reside in Japan.
