Localization at Pinterest is not just responsible for translation, but for cultural adaptation of everything related to the experience with Pinterest product, websites and marketing assets to provide Pinners with an experience that feels local. We care about linguistic excellence, scalable solutions and a friendly team environment. We are currently looking for a Senior Program Manager experienced in websites internationalization to help Pinterest achieve our full potential in international markets. You'll work closely with our engineering and international teams, vendors and designers to shape the experience of millions of Pinners around the globe. You will be a business partner with internal stakeholders by defining internationalization and localization strategies for your program, and with external agencies and vendors on operations. The ideal person is someone who can comfortably and autonomously work in a fast-paced environment, engage in cross-functional or corporate initiatives to represent international and influence the stakeholders for continuous process improvement. 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage, execute and own traditional localization program management tasks, such as designing and implementing scalable end-to-end localization frameworks, localization schedules LSP management, quality KPIs check, deployment of localized assets as well as bug fixing, implementation and testing.
  • Collect business and systems requirements from internal customers, write project plans, and drive project schedules from development commit to release.
  • Lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts to develop optimal solutions to support the localization program across engineering, editorial and content verticals.
  • Communicate roadmaps, progress, risks and change control to senior management and internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
  • Educate and guide agencies, engineers, product managers and designers on internationalization and localization best practices.

What we’re looking for:  

  • 5+ years of experience in localization program management.
  • Experience with CMS, LMS, authoring tools and CAT tools.
  • BA/BS in Linguistics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and passionate about working cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
  • Experience analyzing data sets, define metrics and create dashboards that can be used to make business decisions.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of a second (or third!) language.
