About Pinterest:

Millions of people across the world come to Pinterest to find new ideas every day. It’s where they get inspiration, dream about new possibilities and plan for what matters most. Our mission is to help those people find their inspiration and create a life they love. As a Pinterest employee, you’ll be challenged to take on work that upholds this mission and pushes Pinterest forward. You’ll grow as a person and leader in your field, all the while helping users make their lives better in the positive corner of the internet.

We’re looking for a Program Specialist to help make sure Legal & Compliance programs run smoothly and our teams collaborate effectively.  You’ll work closely with our investigations, Employment Law and Compliance teams to become a master of our policies and an expert on our procedures.  Your proactive and creative support will help ensure we can all do our best work.  You will also be a steward of Pinterest’s culture, leveraging insights from your work to identify trends and develop strategies to ensure we act with integrity in all areas of our business. We are a small and nimble team supporting a growing company with employees on five continents, so you’ll cover a lot of ground.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with internal investigations, such as by performing research, scheduling and attending interviews, organizing information in our case management system, running reports, developing process checklists, responding to stakeholder questions and maintaining our internal, employee-facing websites.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage projects in support of Employment Law initiatives.
  • Plan and manage projects to support Compliance programs, including initiatives to support Pinterest’s annual compliance training, Code of Conduct, and policy management program.
  • Operate Pinterest’s conflict of interest program, including by analyzing disclosures, communicating with employees, and running meetings of the Conflicts Committee when appropriate.
  • Design and implement knowledge management systems for our teams.
  • Perform auditing, monitoring and testing of company controls under the supervision of the Compliance team.
  • Partner with other teams--such as Communications, Inclusion & Diversity, Learning & Development, HR, IT and Finance--on assigned tasks.
  • Provide paralegal support on litigation matters as needed, such as calendar/docket management, collecting and logging document production/discovery, and implementing litigation holds.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency, improve processes and procedures, enhance the employee experience, and support Pinterest’s control environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Formal or practical training in legal areas, such as obtaining a paralegal certificate or experience working in a law firm or on an in-house legal team
  • Exceptional judgment, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters
  • Curiosity, willingness to take on new challenges, interest in learning something new
  • A knack for working effectively across geographical and cultural boundaries, and with employees of all seniority levels and backgrounds
  • A pragmatic approach to identifying practical and effective solutions
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; keen attention to detail
  • Takes initiative; proactively seeks out new and innovative ways to achieve team goals
