Millions of people across the world come to Pinterest to find new ideas every day. It’s where they get inspiration, dream about new possibilities and plan for what matters most. Our mission is to help those people find their inspiration and create a life they love. As a Pinterest employee, you’ll be challenged to take on work that upholds this mission and pushes Pinterest forward. You’ll grow as a person and leader in your field, all the while helping users make their lives better in the positive corner of the internet.

We’re looking for a smart, motivated professional with experience in incident response and business resilience to help Pinterest strengthen its risk management infrastructure.  Working closely with your colleagues in compliance, internal audit, HR, communications, security, engineering, legal and public policy, you’ll help design, implement and scale our Crisis Management Program.

    • Standard protocol to be followed in the event of a crisis
    • Crisis-specific playbooks
    • Localized response plans for offices globally
    • Communication and notification tools

  • Exercise business judgment in handling sensitive and complex events
  • Update our leaders on the status of crisis events and their resolution
  • Educate key stakeholders on the Crisis Management Program and the role they may need to play in the event of a crisis
  • Build relationships and establish the Crisis Management Program as an integral part of the business through awareness initiatives
  • Liaise with external experts, government agencies and key suppliers to forge strategic response partnerships
  • Run desktop exercises for each of the crisis playbooks and local response plans
  • Partner cross-functionally on business continuity plans and related areas
  • Strengthen the company by implementing key actions from crisis postmortem analysis
  • Promote a company culture of preparedness, velocity, and collaboration

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in incident response, with hands-on experience facilitating the response to a crisis situation
  • Great at creating order from chaos; able to quickly assess situations, prioritize issues, and make good decisions under pressure
  • Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity
  • Organized and detail-oriented; loves process but knows when to be flexible
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to build and scale programs
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly cross-functional environment
  • Comfortable working both with tactical details and high-level strategy
  • Excellent communicator
