About Pinterest:

Millions of people across the world come to Pinterest to find new ideas every day. It’s where they get inspiration, dream about new possibilities and plan for what matters most. Our mission is to help those people find their inspiration and create a life they love. As a Pinterest employee, you’ll be challenged to take on work that upholds this mission and pushes Pinterest forward. You’ll grow as a person and leader in your field, all the while helping users make their lives better in the positive corner of the internet.

Pinterest is used by hundreds of millions of people each month to find the inspiration to create a life they love. Perhaps the most common reason people use Pinterest is to help them shop for products they'll love: whether that's a classic couch for their living room or an outfit that’s just perfect for who they are.

In this role, you’ll be charged with making Pinterest a natural and fun place to shop. This will include building out personalized shopping recommendations that understand a Pinner’s unique style and building new experiences that help Pinners feel confident when they buy.

You'll be responsible for building rich frontend experiences and the sophisticated recommendation systems that back them. Success in this role means creating large new business opportunities for the company and more importantly helping Pinners find the perfect products for them.

Pinterest is opening a shopping focused office in Toronto, so this role will also give you a chance to help establish the product and engineering culture there.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead product vision, strategy, development and execution for shopping experiences on Pinterest
  • Work with engineering, design, data analytics, marketing, ux research and other product teams to build shopping products
  • Communicate your strategy upward and outward internally to ensure you have the support and comprehension you need to be successful

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years product management or related experience
  • Technical background or relevant experience that lets you dive deep into data and complex technical problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience giving strategic presentations
  • Expertise in SQL and AB testing with experience using data to inform decisions and workflows
  • Experience with machine learning and ranking & recommendation systems a plus
  • A passion for online shopping and for Pinterest
