We are building a world-class sales team that works with advertisers across the globe to best utilize Pinterest’s advertising products to grow their businesses. Reporting to Bill Watkins, you will be responsible for setting forth the overall sales strategy for the North America Mid-Market sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in ad revenue, and for the growth & development of >100 person sales organization that spans multiple levels and functions (Directors, Sales Managers, Partner Managers, & Account Managers). Along your path to success, you will work closely with leadership across multiple functions, such as ad product, engineering, product marketing, measurement science & insights, creative strategy, agency, customer success, business development, recruiting, sales finance, and sales strategy & operations. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead all aspects of our North America Mid-Market sales division, responsible for the growth & development of the business & the team
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a multi-year sales strategy that enables Pinterest to win the market by meeting partner marketing objectives, scaling partner media investment, and creating meaningful and sustainable revenue growth
  • Build upon established relationships and develop new relationships with industry CEOs, CMOs, and other key executive decision-makers across the North America Mid Market sales channel
  • Shape the future of our Sales organization by building, training and motivating a high performing sales team
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations and Measurement teams to analyze data trends and client performance, as to scale shared learnings and best practices to grow the client’s business through Pinterest solutions
  • Partner closely with Ad Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Customer Success teams to influence ad product development in support of client needs 
  • Act as an external spokesperson and evangelize our brand in the market

What we're looking for: 

  • 15+ years of experience in the digital media industry with 10+ years of relevant management experience
  • Proven success as an executive sales leader across revenue strategy, sales productivity, and industry partnerships
  • Deep understanding and established network in the North American marketing, media, and advertising industries
  • Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
  • Strong focus on operational excellence by having introduced new performance measures, processes, and systems

  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate insights, product information, and data into key client objectives
