Pinterest is a fast-growing, global company. We have offices all over the world, and we need to tell our unique story all over the world, too. Like the company and the global offices, this role will grow fast. You’ll be the founding member of an international writing team crafting locally inspiring copy in at least 30 regions and languages (don’t worry, we can help with translation). The small but mighty Pinterest Writing Team is looking for an experienced writer to craft copy for our business marketing channels in LATAM and APAC.

This role will focus on the advertiser audience. We believe that an advertiser-facing email can be just as compelling as a consumer or creator facing Tweet. If you’ve got an obsession with insights and data, plus a heart for storytelling and a hunger to write for an iconic brand, you just might be the person for this job. 

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll be crafting a wide breadth of copy for Pinterest’s business marketing campaigns in LATAM and APAC.
  • You’ll partner with the brand research team to identify the most compelling statistics, patterns and insights for specific regions and distill them into narratives and thought leadership pieces for the Pinterest business site and third party editorials.
  • You’ll evolve the voice and tone of our business marketing writing for new regions, and evangelize Pinterest’s voice and tone in our assets.
  • You’ll craft copy for owned international social channels. 
  • You’ll work with subject matter experts by region to ensure copy is fully regionalized and then work with translation teams to take your work across the global finish line. 
  • Join forces with passionate designers, producers, researchers, engineers and product marketers as we teach the world what Pinterest is and why it matters.
  • You take regular feedback on what’s working and what’s not from our email analytics and advertiser spend and evolve writing based on these learnings

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of agency and/or in-house writing, with strong preference for international B2B experience.
  • Strong writer in English, with deep experience writing regional copy for a US-based company. Bonus point for experience specific to Canada, Australia, Brazil and Japan. Double points if you’re fluent in Spanish, Portuguese or Japanese.
  • You understand data and measurement and know how to craft a compelling story around brand insights. In other words: you’re skilled at both the art and science of writing for brands.
  • You work autonomously and set the quality bar high. Your thinking easily shifts from tactical to more strategic. When people need something done really well, they ask you.
  • You’ve worked in high paced, iterative creative environments before. You have experience pivoting between short, pithy email copy and social copy and long-form narrative writing.  
  • You’re fluent in the Pinterest voice and familiar with our audiences (US and international, creators and businesses). Take a look at some of our recent marketing campaigns on LinkedIn and Instagram; we’re looking for someone who can already write in our style.  
  • You’re someone who revels in the microcopy details AND consider the big picture of branding, product positioning and strategy.
  • You’re a practiced persuader who can back up their recommendations with sound reasoning and represent their thinking with conviction. You have experience expressing your opinion in a room full of opinionated creatives and stakeholders, even as the only writer in the room. 
  • You’ve worked extensively with marketers, designers, product managers, account managers, media planners and other cross-functional teams. 
  • A willingness to work flex hours: This role will also cover APAC (from NYC), so an openness to working flexible hours so that you can support markets in different time zones will be important.
