Apprentices are expected to generally work 40+ hours per week. As such, students currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program are not eligible for this position. For this role, applicants must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The Company complies with all applicable federal, state, and/or local equal employment opportunity and/or anti-discrimination laws.

The Apprenticeship Program focuses on on-the-job learning and provides candidates looking to start their careers with the 1:1 mentorship and support they need to become successful full-time employees in their chosen field. Apprenticeships are up to one year in length with the opportunity to be considered for conversion to full-time. Employment throughout the program is at will, and while programs can be up to one year in length, there is no guarantee on the specific length of the program.

During the program, Apprentices complete quarterly performance reviews and receive ongoing feedback to support their development and growth. In addition to their day-to-day work, Apprentices also have the opportunity to attend professional development events and social programming designed to supplement their time at Pinterest.

Each Apprenticeship interview process begins with an initial assessment - this can range from essay questions in the application to a coding assessment. From there, candidates may move forward to a video interview with a Pinterest employee. The last stage of the process includes three final round interviews where candidates will meet with a hiring manager and several Pinployees.

The interview process will vary each year and depend on the role you’re applying for.

As part of the interview process, all Apprentices will be assigned a team that aligns with their current interests. Apprentices will work alongside their mentor, manager, and peers in addition to cross-functional partners to execute on their projects. An Apprentice’s work will vary depending on their team’s focus area, goals and current roadmap.
